Dwyane Wade helped bring the Golden Eagles to their first Final Four since their 1977 National championship. Wade became just the fourth person to record a triple-double in the NCAA tournament, leading the team to an upset victory over top-seeded Kentucky.
The "AL" patch is a tribute to Al McGuire, added in 2001-02 to honour the former head coach who won the 1977 NCAA championship.
